About me

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Supervision

I originally trained as a clinical psychologist, before I discovered that helping and working with people's every day and deeply-ingrained issues, and supporting them through their journeys towards change, is what I really want to do.

I am trained to L7 Masters' level  Counsellor and Psychotherapist and I work integratively applying my core theories to support you in better understanding yourself and your unique experience.

What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy? In shortest term it's the length of the time we work together. In counselling we usually work on aspects of You and issues that we describe as life events and 'common' mental health issues such as anxiety and mood disorders that are mild to moderate.

Psychotherapy requires longer and deeper work and we can be working on more serious issues within Your history, personality and relationships.

I am Level 6 qualified clinical Supervisor using my experience of being a tutor of counselling and previous work across various agencies, ages and specific issues raging from children and Young Adults to issues surrounding Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.
